Williamstown Football Ground (commercially known as Downer Oval) is perched on the cliffs edge at Williamstown. Also known as Point Gellibrand Oval, the ground is often subject to strong winds while offering a terrific view of the ocean. The ground is home to VFL side Williamstown Seagulls and was redeveloped between 2010 and 2012 with the grandstand completely renovated with new spectator facilities including large function room, new seating, player facilities, electronic scoreboard and new playing surface. Previously known as Burbank Oval, as of 2019 it is now officially known as Downer Oval following a new naming-rights deal.
