Allianz Stadium

The new state-of-the-art Allianz Stadium is located in Sydney's Moore Park and hosted its first event on September 2, 2022. Built on the site of the old SFS which was demolished in 2019, the project builds on the legacy of the Sydney Sports Ground (1899) and the original Sydney Football Stadium, opened as a Bicentennial Project in 1988.

The new 42,500-capacity stadium features three levels of seating on either side of the playing arena with two levels at the ends. A steep incline ensures all seats are close to and on top of the action with not a bad seat in the house.

One of the primary features is the spectacular roof which lights up in the colours of the home team while the drip line extends beyond the first row, meaning all seats are covered, however some fans may still get wet depending on the wind direction. The wrap-around design means light and crowd noise is kept within the stadium, reducing spill to the surrounding areas.

The venue is home to the Sydney Roosters, NSW Waratahs, and Sydney FC, with the Roosters hosting the first event on September 2 against the Rabbitohs in front of 41,906 spectators, which remains the record crowd.
