Ticket sales hit 40,000 ahead of NRL kick-off in Vegas

The NRL is gearing up for Sunday’s 2024 season opener, with ticket sales exceeding 40,000 for the historic Las Vegas double-header at Allegiant Stadium.
NRL officials are hopeful of a crowd in excess of 50,000 at the 65,000-capacity stadium by kick-off on Sunday afternoon (Australian time). Tickets are available through Ticketmaster US.
The natural turf pitch, complete with NRL markings, was rolled into the technologically-advanced $1.9 billion (USD) Allegiant Stadium on Friday. The feature allows the turf to grow in natural sunlight before being rolled into the climate-controlled stadium for events.
The roofed stadium opened in 2020 and recently hosted the Super Bowl, in front 61,629 spectators, with a reduced event capacity. It serves as the home of the Las Vegas Raiders (NFL) and special sporting events such as the Pac-12 Championship Game and Las Vegas Bowl.
The NRL round one double-header will be played on Saturday March 3 (local US time), with the Roosters v Broncos first up at 6:30pm, followed by the Sea Eagles v Rabbitohs at 8:30pm. See Australian times below.
