Western Springs Stadium (NZ)

Western Springs Stadium is a natural amphitheatre located in Auckland. The venue has a maximum capacity of 30,000 and is used for Rugby Union and Speedway. It also hosts concerts and festivals where as many as 50,000 spectators can fill the venue. In 2015, a new embankment was constructed on the existing hill to improve safety and facilities for spectators. There has previously been talk of the ground being developed as the main cricket venue for Auckland, with the removal of the speedway track, however this never eventuated.
