Brisbane Entertainment Centre
The Brisbane Entertainment Centre is located is an indoor arena located within the Brisbane Bicentenary Sports and Entertainment Complex at Boondall, about 18km from the Brisbane CBD. The venue is Queensland's largest indoor arena, with a seated capacity of around 11,000 for sports such as basketball and netball. Utilising the floor can boost the capacity up to 13,500. It was built by the Brisbane City Council and formed part of the 1992 Olympic Games bid. The venue hosted its first event in February 1986 and has been operated by ASM Global (formerly AEG Ogden) since its inception. The Brisbane Entertainment Centre is the home of the Brisbane Bullets in the NBL and also hosts Super Netball finals and Internationals, as well as concerts and special events.
Also located within the facility is the multi-purpose Sports Centre, which is one of Queensland’s largest and contemporary indoor sporting venues. The Sports Centre can host a variety of indoor sports and features five basketball courts and a showcourt with retracting grandstands that provide 1500 tiered seats, plus balcony seating for 290.
