Optus Stadium has been crowned Australia’s best stadium in the 2019 Stadium Awards, winning the public vote on the Austadiums website, ahead of Adelaide Oval and the MCG.

The 60,000-capacity Perth stadium also claimed the Best AFL Stadium and Best Major Stadium awards, as the only multi-category winner this year.

In the inaugural awards in 2018, Optus Stadium came a close-second to the MCG but finished 10% ahead of Australia’s largest stadium this year and 5% ahead of the Adelaide Oval, as the votes flew in during December on the Austadiums website and app.
