Viking Park is a rectangular sports ground located in Canberra, home of the Canberra Vikings and Tuggeranong Vikings. Built directly adjacent to the Vikings Erindale Club, the facility is regarded as one the best club rugby grounds in Australia. Access to the licensed Club is available from the park.
Boasting two first class ovals, the main ground features lighting of TV broadcast quality, a 1000-seat grand stand as well as six large dressing sheds and a medical room. There are also numerous storage facilities and state of the art training equipment for scrum work and contact drills.
The finals series of the ACTRU competition are played at the Viking Park Rugby Complex; a clear indication of the quality surface and amenities on site. The club has also hosted Australian Schoolboys Test Matches and the Australian Schoolboy Championships. National teams such as Canada and Tonga used the venue in preparation for their Rugby World Cup games in Canberra in 2003, while the ACT Brumbies have used the venue on regular occasions, as well as a number of touring Super Rugby teams. The ground has also hosted FFA Cup football matches.
