SA Athletics Stadium

SA Athletics Stadium is the premier venue for athletics in South Australia, hosting state level, national and international events. Opened on Australia Day in 1998, the Adelaide venue is regularly used by organisations such as Athletics South Australia, the South Australia Athletics League, and the South Australia Little Athletics Associations as well as primary and high schools throughout the state. Football is also played on its infield. Previously known as Santos Stadium due to a naming-rights deal, the venue features a main grandstand with undercover seating and a total capacity of around 8,000. A $2.4m upgrade of the track and facility was completed in March 2011 and a $6 million upgrade of the venue will occur during 2022 with new lighting, video screen and track included in the improvements.
