Memorial Oval

Memorial Oval

Memorial Oval is a regional sports oval at Port Pirie, South Australia. The sports precinct has been redeveloped at a cost of over $20 million to attract top-level sport to the region and support local sport. A new function centre has been built alongside the historic grandstand on the main oval while the ground has been resurfaced and new lights installed. The grandstand has been renovated and a terrace built between the stand and function centre. Seats from football park will surround the oval and be installed on the new terrace. The ground has a total capacity of around 7,500.

The renovated facility will host a pre-season AFL match in 2019 between the Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide while it’s also hoped AFLW and SANFL matches will be played there in the future.
