Erskineville Oval
Erkineville Oval hosted Newtown Jets home games in the Sydney premiership from 1913 to 1954 and is the current training ground of the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Erskineville Oval will be upgraded for local community and South Sydney District Rugby League Football Club (SSDRLFC) sporting use, with stadium, park and lighting work improvements, under a proposal to be presented to Council, Lord Mayor Clover Moore MP announced in April 2006.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs Rugby League Club have made the Oval their main training base until the completion of the $19 million City Council funded redevelopment of Redfern Oval, which is scheduled to be completed in early 2008.
