The new Western Sydney Stadium is now 70% completed with the $300 million stadium reaching the final stages of construction.

The majority of the seating bowl, which is the steepest of any Australian Stadium, is now complete with the roof also nearing completion. Work continues on the western side which will feature five levels of premium seating, corporate and function spaces. Once the roof is finished, the cranes will be removed and the final section of the seating bowl constructed.

Located on the site of the old Parramatta Stadium, the new 30,000-seat venue is expected to open in April 2019 with the Parramatta Eels and Western Sydney Wanderers to call it home.

The Eels are hoping to host the first event at their new home, with a blockbuster NRL home game on ANZAC Day next year against the Wests Tigers.
