Nurrabandah Baseball Facility to be revamped

Chris Egan • Monday 23rd October 2006

ACT's Nurrabandah Baseball Facility will be redeveloped with assurances given by the ACT Government that they would support the redevelopment of the venue.

Brent Phelan, the General Manager of ACT Baseball, said that the government was behind the redevelopment of the venue.

"No monetary figure has been announced as yet, but the ACT Government have said that they would support the redevelopment".

ACT Baseball has had increased membership and also attracted a crowd of 1000 to a Claxton Shield game.

Phelan also revealed to Austadiums.com that a possible new Australian Baseball League would be run over a 3 game series each weekend.

"As far as I know it would run a 3 game series over a weekend... I would expect to get 2-3,000 a weekend".
