Invermay Park

Invermay Park is an oval sports ground located adjacent to UTAS Stadium in Launceston. Known as the original home ground of Ricky Ponting, the heavily-utilised ground received a $2.1 million upgrade in 2015 including resurfacing of the playing arena and lighting. It features three buildings, including the old heritage-protected northern grandstand from York Park, which was relocated to the ground in 2010 following an arson attack in 2008. The total capacity is estimated at no more than 2,000 given there is no embankment for fans around the playing arena. The venue will be used for WBBL matches during the 2021/22 season.
