I think the standard's about the same but like you said we are comparing early season form with late and post-season form from 10/11. For SFC it's easy to say we're better because we got a win earlier than Rd10, but from a movie critic's perspective we're not yet setting the house on fire.

League-wide its way to early to tell in my opinion. Teams haven't gelled yet(apart from Brisbane)On paper my team has dropped its standard a touch, having lost reigning Warren medalist(Flores) and replaced him with Vidosic(good) Slory(bad) and a host of bit-players. But the hope of a supporter runs deep that they will be able to gel and find form as a team in very short order. One thing is for sure, the league is pretty even(again apart from Brisbane) I can't be the only football fan salivating at the thought of the upcoming Asian Champions League campaign with the Roar involved. They bloody well could win it.

Rogerings of 2011-12: Arsenal by ManYoo and ManYoo by Citeh. A week is a long time in football and I remain hopeful that two things will occur this weekend. United will jump out of the blocks on Friday night and stufff Heart good and proper at Hindmarsh, and BRoar will continue their excellent form against a scratchy MVC and stuff them(about 8-1 should do I think! - but I'd settle for 4-0;) ) on Saturday night at docklands.

Crikey, I'd settle for a solid 2-0 win with some nice football played and a general improvement across the pitch from Eugene to Serge. 5-0 is much more likely in the MVC-BR game than our game.

You see, international week threatened to leave Barcelona rather thin, so president Joan Laporta asked Sevilla's José María del Nido to play on Tuesday - as Real Madrid and Villarreal did. Laporta claims Del Nido initially agreed, but the Sevilla president - who is Jesús Gil's lawyer - denied it and insisted on "playing by the rules".

The game, he announced, had to be played on Wednesday, to which Laporta, who as home president chooses the kick-off time, replied: "OK, we'll play on Wednesday."
