you should release a dancing clip swinging the colours above your head on youtube at each venue.Egan wrote:Went to Edensor, Gabbie and Marconi Stadium today.
I can rest easy now, have been to nearly all the venues Perth Glory played at during the NSL.
Suncorp, North Harbour are the ones I can think about at the moment.

Edgley Park, Stockport. Bescot Stadium, Walsall.
Interestingly, both times they gave Leeds a full side of the ground as well as the end for the away allocation.
Was supposed to go to Brisbane Road for the Leyton Orient v Leeds match Tuesday night, but they postponed it due to a little bit of snow...

When we take the usual full allocation of tickets, and then the home clubs decide to cash in by giving some of the home fans area to Leeds as well, there's generally a fair bit of noise generated.
Its been interesting seeing all the various local constabularies out in force too. The West Yorkshire police are always about as well.
Review of stadia time, not coloured by the result of the match and as an away fan, in the away section.
Good: MK Dons, excellent viewing, leg room, padded seats
Colchester, no padded seats but everything else spot on
OK: Millwall, but not going back there, ever. The atmosphere is nasty and I've been working 200m away from the ground for almost a year now. Its not a nice part of London.
Not great: Wallsall, Peterborough, Histon.
Poor: Yeovil, Swindon, Stockport all no cover. Luckily they were all fine days, but Stockport between Christmas & New Year could have been a disaster for my health.
Leyton Orient, the rest of the ground is new and looks fine, the East Stand was built back in the days when everyone was much shorter, has coulumns on the way, and again is in a part of London where I used to work and is a bit dodgy. Good spot if you like illegal DVDs...

Well, with Leeds consigned to another year of League 1, at least I could be able to get to The Valley, Carrow Road, St Mary's, St James' Park & Adams Park next season.
Probably won't go back to The Den if they get done over by Scunny next week, nice ground but the part of London its in is a toilet. Egan, if you do go exploring around Bermondsey - New Cross, keep a look out, or wear a stab vest...

That was my thoughts. I remember walking home through the Walworth area a few years ago - very dodgy.kilonewton wrote: Probably won't go back to The Den if they get done over by Scunny next week, nice ground but the part of London its in is a toilet. Is the actual "Millwall" area the docklands - that isn't too bad.

Another season begins, another host of new grounds to go to. Roots Hall in Southend on Friday night. Not much chop, but to be expected in a "town full of pikeys"
November will be busy. First vist to Croke Park surrounded by revisits to Twickenham, Murrayfield & Millenium. I will also be very poor at the end of the month!

As I was resident in England for 38 years I won't list all the English venues I've been to. In numbers it adds up to - for Football: 40 (+2 non-league); Rugby League: 5; Rugby Union: 1; and Cricket: 1.
Outside England I've been to the following (all for Football) with year visited (that I can recall):
Wales - Millennium Stadium (Cardiff, FA Cup Finals '01, '02, '03, '05).
Scotland - Hampden Park (for a Scotland game '95), Ibrox (Rangers), Somerset Park (Ayr Utd), Rugby Park (Kilmarnock), Palmerston Park (Queen of the South).
France - Parc de Princes (Paris, ECWC Final '95), Stade de France (Paris, ECL Final '06), Stade Felix Bollaert (Lens, ECL '98 ).
Denmark - Parken Stadium (Copenhagen, ECWC Final '94 & UEFA Cup Final '00).
Germany - Mungersdorf Stadium (Cologne, UEFA Cup '96), Korbach (non-league '07).
Portugal - Estadio du Luz (Benfica, EC '91).
Italy - San Siro (Milan, Euro Super Cup Final '94).
Ukraine - Olympic Stadium (Dynamo Kiev, ECL '98 ).
