The Ashes will be hilarious. Hopefully the Wallabies beat the Lions in their series so the the poms won't get too uppity.

Arthur has gone. Clarke has stepped aside as a selector. Now all we need is for Inverarity to disappear and we will have won the trifecta.

Ashes starts in an hour. The only nickname I know for any of the team is Pup Clarke. Times have changed

All the ashes does for me is hope like absolute hell that we get England in our group in Brazil.

Re: Cricket 2013
I guess that could have been worse. There was a lot of rubbish bowled, but some pretty good stuff here and there. Encouraging start to the series.
The batting... not so much. Although Clarke was desperately unlucky to get such a good ball. That would have got Bradman in his prime. Rogers was probably a touch unlucky. But Cowan and Watson threw their wickets away. If Smith and Hughes can knuckle down and get some support from the tail-end, we might be in with a shot.

The bowlers showed why Australia is a chance to win the Ashes
The batsmen showed why they probably won't

Re: Cricket 2013
The last 3 times we have played them we have a 3-1 win a 1-0 loss and a 0-0 draw but going back to 1983 for the draw may not be a true indication of current form.Simmo79 wrote:that was the conventional thinking before we last played themRob wrote:Pick the fights you can win yob.yob wrote:All the ashes does for me is hope like absolute hell that we get England in our group in Brazil.

Last time we played them our team didn't have an average age of 48.Simmo79 wrote:that was the conventional thinking before we last played themRob wrote:Pick the fights you can win yob.yob wrote:All the ashes does for me is hope like absolute hell that we get England in our group in Brazil.
