Good to see West Adelaide doing the SANFL proud against Claremont today. After a brave fight and against a litany of poor umpiring decisions and bad luck they just fell short by 101 points.

Of the 2 spectators who watched it, one was ecstatic. The other one just said "woof!"

And good to see yob's curse continuing. WWT on the bottom but Westies in the five after he abandoned them.

Having a look at the fixtures, looks like over half of the home grounds are night game capable. Norwood, Richmond, Glenelg, Lizbf, Noarlunga. I'd joke about Noarlunga getting a night fixture in June but I live in Canberra now and I'd kill for 2 degrees in June.

Hopefully Norwood V West (1 v 2) on Friday night pulls a bit of a crowd.

Not a big crowd at Glenelg last week either for state of origin. Adelaide Crows doing well, distracting fans?

I don't think so. It is my recollection this fixture has never drawn a big crowd.

Corporate Sponsorship must be lower in the SANFL than the WAFL. Swan Districts had a revenue of 4.6 million dollars last season and still made a $300,000 loss.

In some ways WAFL is on a stronger standing, not having to worry about the ebbs and flows of gambling money to sustain the competition. Salary Cap may need to decrease...

These headline always overstate the thing. It's not like there'd be "no SANFL" but it would be vastly different to the one people know today. Players getting paid less, facilities not as good, maybe higher ticket prices etc. Still a threat but not as sensationalist.
