She's certainly someone that understands sport.
The Labor backbencher said she would promote the WNBL as a major league in Australia during her two-year appointment.
‘‘(It) deserves just as much attention in terms of sponsorship or television or attendance as the men’s competition,’’ Keneally said.
She might want to focus on promoting the NBL as a major league first.

Re: NBL
The WNBL is punching above its weight. It has national TV coverage which is great for its crowds. Can she arrange naming rights so that we see a CFMEU WNBL? I just like how it sounds with all the letters and reckon it'll be hilarious over the radio.
Boards are about contacts. You want big plaeyrs in business and government. In that sense, it's a good appointment. Hopefully she has good executives on the day to day side who can tell her if something is a bad idea.

Over 12,000 at the Perth Arena, is incredible to see so many people at the venue and then file out and block traffic.
The one attendance in Perth, was a bigger crowd than the other 3 crowds put together this weekend.

Well mate, every seat has a great view and the facilities are great. Best indoor stadium I've been in...far superior to Rod Laver for tennis and much much better than hisense and Sydney entertainment centre for basketball.
