8761 people were reportedly there , but if you went to the game it was blatantly obvious that this was way of the mark .Makes other figures look suss ehhh .bazza wrote:There were 8,761 people thereNines wrote: Err , there wasn't 8k at the game so I didn't lie .
Looking around there wasn't the equivalent of a WAFL crowd .
There was nobody there .

Manly, Melbourne, Brisbane and WT are the most fancied. People have already knocked back STGI. With Bennett, I can never rule them out but if they lose this weekend, it will be a lot harder for them.

defuses them pretty well.Jeffles wrote:Omar Slaimankhel , an Afghani refugee that playes fullback at the Warriors, was named in the Toyota Cup team of the year. He's eligible for open age footy next year. Could be one to watch.
insert joke about scoring a try from a bomb
might have to leave auckland to get a starting spot in the very near future though.

I'm going out on a limb and saying Manly v WT Grand Final.
Billy Slater wins the Dally M. Much deserved, though I think if JT had remained fit after Origin he would have shat it in.

Re: NRL 2011
Having a look at the results it appears my WT hating has produced results with them finishing top 4. I'd ask someone to carry the torch for me while I'm overseas but they'd probably go premiers.
I see Newtown is up there this year. Jeff, do you want me to dump them yet? Silverware would be in the bag from such a high base. Last chance Friday.

Melbourne Storm should win it. And won't Gaylop love that. After all the fuss last year and the culling of players, the Storm win the minor premiership. Point proven by them, whether they win the premiership or not.

Re: NRL 2011
yob, get off the Jets bandwagon now and replace your avatar with Manly, or Brisbane.
Gallop's been on the record all year saying that Melbourne's success proves they did not need to break the cap.

You really don't pay much attention to current sport at all do you?Amaru wrote:Melbourne Storm should win it. And won't Gaylop love that. After all the fuss last year and the culling of players, the Storm win the minor premiership. Point proven by them, whether they win the premiership or not.
Storm got flogged by the Roosters last week and have lost their best forward (Blair) for the rest of the season. If the Knights can contain Slater, Smith and Cronk then they're in with a great chance of winning this weekend.

That's a huge if.
I think the Storm can account for Newcastle but Brisbane, WT and Manly can really trouble them.

I've been fighting this for a while but I'm giving up. I have lost my religion. I just can't be associated with Newtown anymore. It started in the 70s. It's a shell of the club I once knew.
