Re: SANFL 2010
Yeh, they've beaten us at Unley.
But from the last 11 matches... Centrals 6, Sturt 5.
So slaughtered, no.
BTW current season aggregate is 75,639.
After just five rounds!

BTW... funny thing at Prospect Oval at the conclusion of the Reserves match. A Roosters victory and the PA suddenly starts playing Glenelg's club song.

Re: SANFL 2010
Why did Port Adelaide play on Showdown day. Just so ABC could get their match on TV...

Re: SANFL 2010
Apparently SANFL matches will become available on ABC's I-View, according to a source on SAFooty.net.

Re: SANFL 2010
About time.
Went to Richmond (City Mazda Stadium) on Friday night for the West v Port match. On a rather cold night, 3,583 fans saw Westies consign Port to an unaccustomed bottom of the ladder with a 13 point win, our 2nd in a row. Maybe I should attend more. I went to Noarlunga last week to see us beat South Adelaide. I will say that Port showed (in the 2nd half at least) they are better than their 1-6 record for 2010. With a bit better luck and a better start to the games, they could push higher in later rounds.
Night footy at Richmond is a great thing IMO, be it a Friday or Saturday night. The lights are brilliant, the atmosphere is great and the footy is good. Pity I can't say the same for West Torrens Council. Lucky for me I didn't get pinged but inspectors were handing out $56 parking fines and they would have grabbed most of the cars parked. Typical SANFL problem really. Suburban grounds (with the exception of Noarlunga) have little to no parking in the surrounding streets with no parking zones only enforced on match days & nights.
The lights have also helped Westies in another way. From all reports, in our 4 home games so far in 2010, we've just about equaled our attendance figure for all 9 homes games in 2009. Also helps that Andrew Collins has got The Bloods winning games. Something we haven't seen regularly at Richmond Oval since Shaun Rehn took us to a grand final in 2003.

Good to see you going to the matches. West Adelaide play some good football, always hard at it putting in 100%.
Richmond Oval from my experience doesn't have the best public transport options. Other than going down South Street...

I'd personally like to apologise to the West Adelaide FC because obviously it was all me.
