Re: The Rugby Thread
Very good game between Crusaders and Reds last week. Really enjoyed it.
Andrew, if you wanna go for a beer, I'll be at the Elephant and Wheelbarrow about 6:30pm prior to the last Force game. Looking forward to Cooper v O'Connor!

Re: The Rugby Thread
Every time i see this thread active (and I prefer union by a long way) I still go yay yay yay boobs...awwwwwwwwwww discussions.
ahhhhh yes the reds are going very well...fekin Tahs..
On the cover of today’s Tele in Sydney the sub headline says “Lookout needed for faulty Waratahs" and I thought they were seriously considering a spitting platform at the SFS as they were so sick of booing them.

Re: The Rugby Thread
Anything that takes their SOO team off the front and back pages is a winner.
The big deal being made about this win only goes to show how much Australian teams underperform in the "super" competition historically.
Then again, Canterbury and Auckland own the bloody thing.

Re: The Rugby Thread
Not a good week for rugby.
First that bloke in Brisbane died playing.
then less serious but the one that made the news in non-rugby states - losing to Samoa:(
Are there players to come in for the Springbok game or are we going to get pantsed in the RWC?

Re: The Rugby Thread
It was pretty close to a second string Wallabies team. Which was the height of hypocrisy as the ARU had squealed like stuck pigs when the Springboks made it clear they were going to send a team of nobodies to play here.
The Samoans all play in professional teams in various European comps, so they're not the easy beats they used to be.
Wallabies should beat the 'boks comfortably in the next game.

So AUS v SAM was what we football fans call "an international Friendly"?Boba Fett wrote:It was pretty close to a second string Wallabies team. This must be what it feels like for Germany after we beat them 2-0 earlier this year in Moenchengladbach, both teams were without 1-2 'bigger names' but the smaller team(Samoa in Rugby and us in football) made a big fuss over it, while the traditional power that lost was left a touch embarrassed:)
