One of the F.A.Q.s at wembleystadium.com regarding corporate boxes is, what events are included?
The answer was:
· All England Senior Internationals
· The FA Cup Final
· The FA Cup Semi Finals
· The Football League Cup Final
· The FA Community Shield
· The Rugby League Challenge Cup Final or game of equivalent quality
· Concerts
· All other public events in the stadium (excluding “bid” events e.g. World Cup Finals).

EPL clubs have their own fortresses to play in!
Further fixtures to be played at wembley include the 3 promotion play-off finals each may and 4 further cup finals (1 for lower level league clubs, 1 for pro non-league clubs, 1 for amateur teams and 1 for "sunday" teams) giving everyone at all levels a theoretical chance of playing at wembley, which will boost football in general. these fixtures are of course not as high profile as the ones James mentioned, however many of them will still sell out.

I dont think Chelsea have ever been linked with Wembley. They have years ago been linked with Twickenham, as have Fulham, however the RFU arent interested. Instead Chelsea are rumoured to want to knock down their own hotel complex behind one stand in order to expand the capacity.
Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with Wembley, though. Last summer a minority of arsenal´s board wanted to ditch the club´s out of control 1 Billion aus$ stadium project in favour of Wembley. However the move was defeated and since then wembley have opened for corporate sales and quickly netting hundreds of millions, they lost interest.
I guess it could still happen, Arsenals stadium project is still not cleared.
How come the Arsenal Stadium project is costing so much. The stadium is good but for a 70 000 seater 1 billion seems a little high. Someone give me the lowdown on the whole matter please.
well thats a very good question, but it probably boils down to the cost of London land.
Arsenal have to buy a lot of land and of course the houses on it and then just clear them, which is expensive. there are some infrastructure cost as well, dont know how much, but not much, and the lost houses must be replaced by higher density buildings a bit away from the venue, which I think Arsenal are financing, however they are also quite valuable to sell. Of course then there are also the stadium, only 60.000 though. Another significant cost is the whole many year process of getting planning permission and financing for the project.
Its more than a stadium project, Arsenal are basically being forced to become a large scale property developer in London, making the actual cost of getting their new stadium very unclear depending on the general property market, of course that also makes the whole thing very risky.
should arsenal´s project fail, Arsenal would most likely be forced to go for wembley and be the first club to give up having its own stadium, others might then follow, so its quite significant in england.

These images from Arsenal's website show the relative size of Ashburton Grove to Highbury.
Australian Stadium?
Atmosphere - MCG
Beauty - Adelaide Oval
Hosility to opposition - Powerhouse
Playing Surface (natural) - Hindmarsh Stadium OVERALL - Adelaide Oval (sorry, love the place)
World Stadium
Atmosphere - Camp Nou (Barcelona)
Beauty - Orial Park at Camden Yards
Hostility to opposition - Old Trafford (Manchester United)
Playing Surface (natural) - Lords OVERALL - Adelaide Oval
my vote is going to the g, but others are definite contenders.....wembley and others etc
something that we should be aware of, though, is that australians are likely to choose australian stadiums, namely telstra stadium and mcg because they are australian......is something to be wary of
I like the look of Houston's Reliant Stadium, but the best stadium ATM is Cardiff's Millenium Stadium - with 74,000 seats, it's the Worlds largest retractible roof stadium; and being situated on the edge of Cardiff's city centre is a major plus.
One thing that Wembley will always be is miles from anywhere, stuck in a gloomy London suburb.
The only problem with suncorp is the terrible playing feild. MCG in oz definatley, It would be in the world top 10 or even 5. Camp nou and the new wembley on the world stage.
