At least they know over there how to properly cover the seats with a roof.

German football grounds are the best.

My favorite looking stadium would be the San Siro. I love the structure and the faded crapiness of the seats. Looks like a cross between a European and South American stadium.

That photo really shows how good the viewing must be. Those seats are pretty steep, so fans are closer to the ground. It's something Australian stadiums lack, except for places like Suncorp and Skilled.

Strange how there is more seating behind the goals than along the sides...

the eastern stand backs onto the hippodrome - they couldn't extend that side. the rest are three tier.

They also feature that very European quality - backless bucket seats. The only place in Oz that I've seen with similar is ES Marks Field.

they've since added backed seats to improve safety following the FIGC's most recent wave of otherwise pretty ineffective campaigning to make calcio better for families and boost crowds. ditto the stadio olimpico in rome - they've got the added inducement of the UEFA CL final.

Nooooo!

I know Stade Gilbert Brutus, home of Catalan Dragons in the Super League still has backless bucket seats. Long may they hold out from upgrading!

Was I the only one who had to check the image name to work out what ground it is?
