Seems to be a habit with NSW sports grounds having overkill light towers - Coffs Harbour International Stadium would be another ground with overkill light towers as well.

Was it Coffs Harbour that used to host Socceroos internationals back in the "Glory Days of Oceania" when we'd beat American Samoa 30-odd to nil?

HaHa..."Even Bozza Scored" I miss Santo Sam & Eds World Cup fever! If Frank Lowy does nothing else for the Australian version of the world game, getting our country into Asia should see him knighted IMO. The A-League is a marked improvement over the NSL too. Even Phil Rothgfield has written positively about it!

They look quite decent don't they? I usually find light posts that are on the short side like awkward but these fit in nicely.

Surprised that they didn't go with Lords style retractables though. The Canberra Times comment section is full of NIMBYs carrying on that the lights have ruined Manuka.

I was thinking the opposite but whatever. Won't bother me any unless they start taking NSW cricket, Big Bash, Raiders, Brumbies, NFL, CFL, or A-League games there.
