Etihad Stadium

Post by Fino »

Anyone know what they are doing to one of the four big rectangular boxes that house the big screens/offices?? Seems they are converting it in to something, there was heaps of scaffolding present last night at the Victory match.

Perhaps they could spend some money on returfing the ground instead. That surface for the A-League game the other night was appalling!

They could add another 3-4k to capacity if they remove those.

they cant remove the concrete things because they hold up the roof, they are probably adding more video screens

Probably fitting it out and putting corporate boxes or something similar in.

What else doesn't work crow?

They're transforming the box at Etihad into a new exclusive area known as the Diamond Club. www.diamond-club.com.au

I had to pay $45 for a ticket to the game on Australia Day which is 50% more than a similar ticket for the Jets game this Sunday so I can imagine what the Diamond Club might cost.

Looks swish. Obviously Medallion Club not doing enough for them.

Went to see Wallabies vs. Wales. Unfortunately the Welsh guy who bought our 'Premium' tickets got seats in line with the halfway line, level 1 around 10 rows from the fence and miles from the action. Unless the retractable seating configuration is used, these are far from Premium.

The stadium looked just under half full, so the 33,888 official crowd (slightly more than AAMI Park capacity) is very suspicious.

A game against Wales was never going to utilise Etihad's capacity, so the game should have been at AAMI. Would have been fantastic!

considering they are taking games back to the SFS ...AAMI park would of been a wise choice and they could charge a premium for tickets.
