The WACA has more board spots on CA than the TCA and I'd say the development would reinforce the large corporate income gap between Perth and Hobart. Then there's the pitch. We do well there. Only a subsidy from the Tasmanian Govt would see an Ashes Test move from Perth to Hobart.

It's probably the right capacity for the place. T20s could go to Subi.

A decent security guard set up would remove the need for nets.

Taken advantage in the change in market conditions in the inner city to progress with this development. Should get a decent amount of profit out of these apartments.

Very interesting, old timers would remember my vocal desire for the ground to be sold. It really is going to face funding pressures, but the WACA's whole identity is at that ground and their history has been defined as resilient to any move to shift the ground as the home of cricket in western Australia.

Still reckon there should be a small secondary ground adjacent to the new stadium, playing host to WA shield and one day games along with Perth in the WAFL. Something like Blacktown would be perfect.

If the were to move the would need to put in all of the cricket infrastructure into the new stadium like full outdoor practice nets media facilities on the north and a nursery for the I assume the drop in wickets, I'm pretty sure they are not in the brief.
