It should have, they did a large amount of watering the night I was there, they even cancelled pre-game and some of the half-time activities so that the field was fit for use.

They've had a week or so off it, so it should be a lot better.

And the Newcastle Knights are selling out most weeks so i think a redevelopement should happen soon.
Could they increase the seating behind the goals but not put seats where the grass is.

.
They haven't sold out once yet.

The last 3 games at Energy Australia has had 14,000+ crowds.

Geez i cant believe that the Jets will likely get more to their finals games than the Knights did.
I really thought they had 25 000 or so because everytime i saw the highlights the stadium looked packed.

If you look in the Energy Australia Stadium page, it will show you the largest crowds in the last 3 years at the venue.

All of them held by the Newcastle Knights...

Tonight the A-League may bump one of the crowds out :)

God almighty, someone's gone to the trouble of listing the attendance for every single AFL, NRL, A-League and S14 match from the 2006 and 2006/7 seasons (one list that is). And the averages too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_AFL_and_NRL_crowds

^^ and the Knights got 21,848 for the 2006 season which IMO looks far more likely.

I could spend half a day examining those stats

I don't believe Richmond has the 2nd best average in club sport in Australia.

Remember that they get an enormous bump from the huge numbers of 'away' fans they get. And they have heaps of derby matches at the G.

Adelaide and WCE are the two clubs who have artificially low attendances.

Richmond's home crowds have been decent especially when they got on a roll earlier on.

Plus you include the away supporters from fellow Melbourne clubs who would go to the games.
