Adelaide 36ers Arena
Adelaide 36ers Arena is an 8000-seat indoor stadium located on Crittenden Road in the Adelaide suburb of Findon. Formerly known as Titanium Security Arena, it was renamed as the Adelaide 36ers Arena in March 2021 following a change of ownership.
The privately owned, multipurpose indoor facility is the former home of NBL team Adelaide 36ers and remains the training and administration headquarters of the club. The 36ers relocated to the larger Adelaide Entertainment Centre as of the 2019/20 season. It remains the home venue of WNBL side Adelaide Lightning.
Built in 1991 at a cost of $16 million, Adelaide 36ers Arena replaced the 3,000-seat capacity Apollo Stadium at Richmond as South Australia's primary basketball venue and while its core business is basketball, the venue also has been used for various other sporting competitions such as Netball, Gymnastics and Inline Hockey.
The versatility of the venue's main arena, which can be set up for floor space of over 2100sqm as well as the numerous function rooms within the facility means the venue can be used for any type of event large or small. Now officially known as Adelaide 36ers Arena, it was previously known as Titanium Security Arena, Distinctive Homes Dome and the Clipsal Powerhouse, while its non-commercial name is Adelaide Arena. The venue was purchased by property developer Ross Pelligra in March 2021 and he's spending $30 million on upgrading its facilities.
