The Adelaide Entertainment Centre is an indoor sports and entertainment venue located in the capital of South Australia. It can seat from 2,000 to nearly 12,000 people, and can be adapted to any configuration to suit individual events - from rock concerts to sport. Since opening in July 1991 at a cost of $44 million, the venue has been home to more than 500 events and entertained over two million patrons. Sports to be played at the venue include Basketball and Netball - the capacity for such events is around 9,300. The venue had a makeover in 2010 which included the addition of a new 2,500-seat theatre, 8,000 new seats for the main arena and a new-look main entrance.
