The Western Australian Athletics Stadium opened in May 2009 to replace Perry Lakes Stadium. The venue features a main grandstand with seating for 2,000 and a grassed hill surrounding the remainder of the track bringing the total capacity up to 10,000. It also features lighting and an electronic scoreboard.
