AAMI Park has unveiled two new curved videoboards as its $25m upgrade nears completion ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.

The new video screens are significantly larger than their predecessors which had been in operation since the stadium opened in 2010, offering enhanced resolution and presentation capabilities.

The $25 million of stadium upgrades have been funded by the Victorian Government.

In addition to the videoboards, the upgrades include the introduction of LED sports lighting technology, LED advertising and wayfinding boards, and a significant upgrade and reconfiguration of broadcast and corporate hospitality areas.

The upgrades commenced in January and will be completed ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, with the first of six matches in Melbourne set for 21 July. During the tournament, the venue will be known by its non-commercial name of Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.
