Frankston Oval (officially known as SkyBus Stadium) is the home ground of the Frankston Dolphins who play in the Victorian Football League. The ground features a historical grandstand which was re-built after it was destroyed by a fire in 2008, and is capable of seating 1,000 spectators under cover. There is terracing opposite the grandstand as well as an impressive pavilion which features a large function centre with views of the oval and across the water. The total capacity of Frankston Oval is around 8,000.
The ground is a narrow one and is not used for cricket and therefore provides 12 months usage for Australian football. New 1000-lux lighting is expected to be ready for use in mid-2020 to allow for the broadcast of night matches. Internal car parking is available as well as extensive external car parking. The Frankston Football Club has a fully licensed social club overlooking the oval, capable of seating up to 250 people. The venue is now officially known as SkyBus Stadium following a naming-rights deal in 2018.
