Gold Coast Sports and Leasure Centre

The Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre opened in mid-2017 and includes two indoor halls connected by a pedestrian plaza. The new centre supports a large range of sport and community facilities including function rooms, change rooms and administrative facilities. The mixed-use sports courts are designed to accommodate court sports including basketball, netball, indoor soccer, badminton and more.

The venue is located at Carrara next to Metricon Stadium and will provide world-class competition and training facilities capable of hosting international sporting events such as the badminton, weightlifting and wrestling competitions during the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Hall one comprises of seven sports courts which can be transformed into the show hall to include one show court and grandstand seating for up to 5300 people. The show hall will be one of Gold Coast’s most versatile arenas, being used for a variety of special events. Hall two includes eight sports courts with 350 spectator seats available upstairs.
