Western Springs Stadium (NZ)

Auckland/New Zealand

Western Springs Stadium is a natural amphitheatre located in Auckland. The venue has a capacity of 30,000 and is used for Rugby Union and Speedway. It also hosts concerts and festivals where up to 50,000 fans can fill the venue. In 2015, a new embankment was constructed on the existing hill to improve safety and facilities for spectators. There has been talk of the ground being developed as the main cricket venue for Auckland with the AFL also interested in hosting matches at the venue. This would see the removal of the speedway track.
