Mineral Resources Park

Mineral Resources Park

Mineral Resources Park (traditionally known as Lathlain Park) is the home ground of WAFL side Perth Demons and the new headquarters of the West Coast Eagles, also hosting AFLW and pre-season AFL matches. The venue first opened in 1962 and today contains a main grandstand, an undercover area and grass hill surrounding some of the playing arena. While mainly hosting Australian Football, it has also hosted Rugby League, with the most recent game in 1999 when the Melbourne Storm defeated the Western Suburbs Magpies in front of a crowd of 8,236.

The new training and administration facility for the West Coast Eagles was completed in 2019. The new building and construction of a second oval has significantly reduced the capacity, to around 6,500. The ground has had three commercial naming rights sponsors - firstly known as Eftel Oval from 2003, then Brownes Stadium in 2011, and now Mineral Resources Park as of 2019.
