Margaret Court Arena

Margaret Court Arena at Melbourne Park opened with Rod Laver Arena in 1988 as Show Court One. The venue underwent a major redevelopment which was completed in late-2014. This included a retractable roof which is the fastest of its kind in the world - opening and closing in just five minutes, increasing the capacity from 6,000 to 7,500, corporate facilities, video screens, sound system and new spectator facilities. In addition to Tennis, Margaret Court Arena can also now host basketball, netball and concerts. It has hosted NBL matches and often plays host to Vixens and Magpies Super Netball home games.
