Central Energy Trust Arena (NZ)

The 15,000-capacity Central Energy Trust Arena (Arena 1) is Palmerston North's primary outdoor stadium. The venue features a main grandstand which opened in March 2005, seating surrounding the playing field, lights and video screen. Also incorporated into the venue is an international-standard speedway track. Additional seating can be installed to boost capacity to around 20,000.

Previously known as Arena 1 and FMG Stadium, the venue has hosted a range of domestic and international sporting fixtures and played host to the first ever Super 12 Rugby match in 1996. It has hosted home games for the Hurricanes, the British & Irish Lions, Rugby World Cup, International Rugby League and Football matches.

Also located within the precinct is the Fly Palmy Arena (Arena 2), three smaller arena's (Arena 3, 4, 5) and the back fields (Arena 6).
