North Dalton Park

North Dalton Park

North Dalton Park is located in the NSW regional town of Wollongong and is the Illawarra's premier cricket and AFL facility. It is the main field within the Thomas Dalton Park Regional Sports Centre. The ground features a grandstand with seating for 430 fans and a grass hill surrounds the remainder of the playing field, with a total capacity of around 5,500. The ground was resurfaced in 2007 and broadcast-quality lighting installed. An electronic scoreboard was installed at the northern end in 2016, while in 2017 the new grandstand seats were installed.

The Wollongong ground has hosted domestic cricket including the Sheffield Shield, WBBL and a BBL trial game. A domestic one day cup game was scheduled for 2007 however it was rained out without a ball being bowled. Cricket NSW has announced North Dalton Park will host the 2020 Sheffield Shield Final should the New South Wales Blues earn hosting rights.
