Red Energy Arena
Red Energy Arena, formerly known as Bendigo Stadium, reopened in May 2018 following a major $22m redevelopment. The expansion of the venue included three new courts which combine to create a 4,000-seat showcourt with world-class facilities, plus onsite dining and corporate facilities.
The new showcourt doubles the capacity of the previous main court at the venue which hosted basketball games during the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. Bendigo Stadium is the home of WNBL side Bendigo Spirit and NBL1 side Bendigo Braves. It also hosts occasional NBL matches and will stage netball during the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
As of June 2022, the venue is commercially known as Red Energy Arena following a two year partnership with the Australian owned energy retail subsidiary of Snowy Hydro Limited.
