Browne Park

According to one of the oldest members of the Rockhampton Leagues Club, the late Mr. George Phillips, Browne Park was brought into existence around 1889. At that time it was a Rugby Union ground. The Ground, located in Rockhampton, Central Queensland between Cambridge, George, Albert and Murray streets, has seen many changes over the years. The best being the change from Rugby Union to Rugby League around 1918. More recently, the ground has undergone a face lift including a new grand stand and some new lights. The ground is home of the Central Queensland Comets.
