State Netball Hockey Centre

The State Netball Hockey Centre, now officially known as Melbourne Sports Centre - Parkville, is located just north of Melbourne's CBD. SNHC has previously hosted home games for the Melbourne Vixens, Melbourne Phoenix, Melbourne Kestrels and NBL club Melbourne Tigers.

The Royal Park venue opened in 2001 and was used for the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games. SNHC's netball facilities are extremely versatile and flexible. With five indoor courts, all with sprung floors, SNHC is perfect for hosting tournaments. The main showcourt has fixed seating for 3,050 fans with additional seating boosting capacity to around 3,500 for large events.

Both hockey pitches are recognised by the International Hockey Federation as being of international standard. The main pitch is the premier hockey pitch in Victoria, featuring a 1000-seat undercover grandstand with an additional 2000-seat portable grandstand on the eastern embankment. The second pitch has a longer playing area to allow for Lacrosse, Gridiron and a hockey warm up area, with a 325 seat grandstand.

The centre was built for the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games and opened in 2001. It has played host to a number of major events including the Champions Trophy, Four Nations Hockey Tournament and International Matches. The venue is home to HC Melbourne in the Hockey One League.
