Dandenong Stadium

Proposed Venue

Dandenong Stadium is a proposed 15,000-seat rectangular stadium first announced in 2018 to be the home of A-League expansion bid team, known as 'Team 11'.

Concepts designed by Cox Architecture – designers of Melbourne’s AAMI Park – has Dandenong Stadium capacity initially slated in the range of 12,000-15,000, with the ability to expand to 20,000 in the future.

The site, less than 100m walk from one of Victoria’s busiest train and bus stations and within five kilometres of the Monash Freeway and EastLink, would provide for easy access from all corners of Victoria’s south-east.

It was proposed the stadium would not only host a new A-League and W-League team, but also Rugby League, Union and concerts.

Team 11 wasn't granted a license and therefore the stadium had initially been rejected, however with Melbourne City FC relocating their headquarters to Melbourne's south-east, the proposed Dandenong Stadium, also referred to as the Dandenong Sports and Events Centre, is back on the table.
