Brisbane Live Arena

Proposed Venue

Brisbane Live Arena

Brisbane Live arena is a proposed 18,000-seat sports and entertainment venue to be built above the new Roma Street underground train station. The venue was conceived by music entrepreneur Harvey Lister’s company ASM Global, which operates the ageing Brisbane Entertainment Centre at Boondall. First mentioned in October 2018, the new Brisbane Live Arena would form part of a 2032 Brisbane Olympics bid, potentially hosting swimming with the construction of a temporary pool which would be dismantled following the Olympics. It would also have the ability to host basketball, netball and other indoor sports.
