Bankstown Oval

Bankstown Oval is a small Cricket ground situated in Sydney's West. The ground has a small two-level clubhouse, the Stephen and Mark Waugh pavilion; with a balcony the batsmen normally sit in while waiting for their turn in the middle. Next to it on the western side is a newish-looking grandstand which seats roughly 1,500 people. The eastern side includes a small hill which accommodates around 3,000 standing, however corporate marquees are usually erected in this area for state games.

An old manual scoreboard is situated at the northern end of the ground, also at this end is seating and standing room. The southern end has virtually no room at all between the boundary fence and the outside trees. The capacity of the ground is around the 8,000 mark.

Bankstown Oval is an excellent facility for grade cricket, and a nice small ground for first-class games. The ground has also hosted games in the local Sydney AFL competition.
