Perth’s nib Stadium will be given its third commercial name with the rectangular venue to be known as HBF Park as of 2019.

It’ll become the third sports venue in Western Australia’s capital to be slapped with the HBF brand – joining HBF Stadium in Mt Claremont and HBF Arena in Joondalup.

HBF, WA’s biggest health insurer, said it struck the agreement to make good on expectations that the fund would “be a force for good in the local community”.

Traditionally known as Perth Oval, the 20,500-capacity home of football and rugby union was renamed Members Equity Stadium after it was redeveloped into a rectangular venue in 2003, before nib took over the naming-rights in 2010.

The stadium is the home ground of A-League side Perth Glory and also former Super Rugby side Western Force, who as of 2019 will compete in the newly-established Global Rapid Rugby competition.
