The 6500-capacity grandstand boosts the capacity of the Geelong stadium to 36,000 and over 33,000 are expected when Geelong hosts the Western Bulldogs in round 9 of the AFL season.

The state-of-the-art redevelopment includes, improved media facilities, a new 1000-seat function centre, merchandise store, café, an enhanced football department and the Sunrise Centre, a community facility that will aim to rehabilitate people to return to the workforce following serious injury.

The latest redevelopment which has taken two and a half years is stage four of the masterplan with planning well underway for stage five which will complete the stadium.
