Acer Computer Australia today announced a five-year sponsorship agreement with PBL resulting in the Sydney SuperDome's first-ever naming rights deal that will see it re-branded as Acer Arena. The sponsorship is made possible with the support of Intel® Viiv™ technology.
Billed as Australia's number one indoor entertainment venue and number two worldwide, just behind Madison Square Garden, the entertainment centre will take on its new identity from 12 May 2006, spearheading Acer's drive to become Australia's number one consumer technology brand.
The sponsorship will not only enable Acer, Intel and the SuperDome to deliver a greater entertainment experience at Acer Arena, but plans are also in place to deliver hours of on-demand, Internet-delivered digital entertainment direct to people's homes.
Acer will use this sponsorship as an important brand building opportunity, conveyed through positive and enjoyable experiences. Within the venue Acer and Intel will share an innovative experiential zone in the foyer where visitors can touch and feel the very latest and best in digital, multimedia entertainment.
