Last chance to vote in Stadium Awards
Voting for the Austadiums Awards 2018 are now closed and the winners will be announced shortly!
The inaugural Austadiums Awards 2018 close at midnight on December 31 meaning there’s just a few days remaining to vote if you’re yet to do so already, with the MCG and Optus Stadium leading the charge.
The awards are giving fans the opportunity to vote for Australia’s best stadium across seven categories and Australia’s best stadium overall. Voting opened earlier this month and the votes have been flying in.
It has been great to see venues and tenant clubs promote the awards through their respective social media channels to build support as we search for the inaugural winners.
With just days remaining, the MCG and Optus Stadium are neck-and-neck for best stadium, as well as the best AFL stadium and best major stadium categories. A late surge of support could snatch it for either venue.
Support for Sydney stadiums has been lean across the board with the only chance of a win seemingly ANZ Stadium for best NRL stadium, however it must overcome a newer venue which has a strong lead at this stage.
Some other venue in contention across various categories include GMHBA Stadium, AAMI Park, Suncorp Stadium, nib Stadium, RAC Arena, Rod Laver Arena and Marvel Stadium.
