Cbus Super Stadium new name for Robina venue
One of Australia’s largest superannuation funds, Cbus Super, is the new naming rights partner of the Stadiums Queensland venue at Robina on the Gold Coast formerly known as Skilled Park.
The stadium – home of the Gold Coast Titans – will be known as Cbus Super Stadium for the next five years with the venue to be rebranded ahead of the 2014 NRL season.
Cbus Super, established in 1984, is the national industry fund for the construction, building, infrastructure and allied industries with more than 700,000 members and $25 billion under management.
Cbus Super, Chairman, The Hon. Steve Bracks AC said Cbus is a strong and growing industry super fund run on the philosophy that all profits are returned to members and we invest their funds to maximise returns in their industry and communities.
“Queensland is an important part of that membership and a state that we are looking to continue to grow our superfund in, having increased members by 15% in the past two years.
“So we are delighted to be able to take advantage of this unique opportunity to name the Stadium at Robina the Cbus Super Stadium which will strengthen our brand in the Queensland community and beyond.
“The naming rights will give Cbus exposure to the rugby league and sport loving public through TV coverage of the Gold Coast Titan’s home games, as well as other events like Wallabies Tests, the Gold Coast Sevens Tournament and the Gold Coast Bulletin Fun Run.
“As the largest industry fund in the construction, building and allied space, Cbus is proud to invest back in our industry. Queensland is very much part of the Cbus Property story and our current project at 1 William Street, Brisbane will be a state-of-the-art, commercial building creating an estimated 5,000 jobs over the life of the project.
“We are also, through our infrastructure investment management group, Industry Funds Management, investors in Brisbane Airport and the Port of Brisbane.
“Our take up of this unique opportunity of naming the Robina Stadium, Cbus Super Stadium, further cements our brand in Queensland and we look forward to a long and mutually successful partnership with Stadiums Queensland, the Titans and the local community,” said Mr Bracks Minister for Sport, Steve Dickson, congratulated Cbus Super on their five year commitment.
“With football fixtures played at the venue being broadcast to around 5.3 million NRL fans across the country and overseas, and an estimated 1 million patrons expected to pass through the gates over the next five years, it won’t take long for Cbus Super Stadium to become a household name.”

“This initiative will increase Cbus’ profile in Queensland and provide an opportunity to market its services in the Queensland economy which is expected to grow significantly, in coming years from investment in the building and infrastructure sectors.”
iSelect Titans Chief Executive officer Graham Annesley said Robina has been the Titans’ spiritual home since 2008 so it’s fantastic that Stadium’s Queensland has been able to attract further commercial support for the future through this new partnership with Cbus.
“Having the financial backing of companies like Cbus is critical for any major sports facility and importantly gives Titans members and supporters the opportunity to enjoy a state-of-the-art facility right here on the Gold Coast,” said Mr Annesley.
