Finally, Emirates. Missed out on a ticket last year, but snaffled one for the FA Cup 3rd Round last night. Impressive, but lacking a bit in the atmosphere stakes. That was until Thierry Henry started warming up, and when he scored, the roof did well to stay on.

Re: Stadiums you've been to?
Those pictures look awesome kilonewton.
I'm heading over to England in a couple of weeks for the first time and was wondering if you could help me out.
My girlfriends parents live in Warrington so we will be spending most of our time there. I'm buying tickets to the Man City vs Porto Europa game at Ethiad stadium and plan on driving past Old Trafford and Elland Road (Some of her friends live in Leeds).
I'm sure we will be picking up beer at the Warrington Tesco so I may as well check out Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Are there any other venues in the northwest you'd highly recommend checking out? We will have a car for most of our trip so distance shouldn't be an issue.
By the way this trip isn't all stadium visiting. I've organised Valentines day in Paris so i'll still have plenty of brownie points to use

I've not spent too much time in the North West, just driving through on the way to the in-laws in Scotland mainly, plus as my old man used to say "wrong side o pennine". Only stadium I've been to is at Stockport.
Being based at Warrington means your pretty close to Liverpool as well as Manchester, plus Bolton, Wigan etc. You could even go to Deepdale in Preston for the football museum, but that may use up a few brownie points

Our hotel is only a 40 minute walk from the Parc des Princes. I think it's maddnes PSG aren't having a game on the 14th....the crow wrote:MomentKiller wrote:

It would make sense if they did. That way Frenchmen could spend quality time with their girlfriends, while the wife takes the kids to the footy

Some pictures from the Europa League game at Etihad stadium. The stadium was about 85% full but the atmosphere was incredible!
We got to see the outside of a lot of other venues all over England and France over the 4 weeks but this was the only game we went to.

FC Porto. They were never really in the game to be honest. City scored about 40 seconds in with another 3 goals coming from their big names in the last 15 minutes.Simmo79 wrote:Who were city playing?
